Parents – remember to teach our children that hockey is a game, a great game but it is not who they are. In this age of increasing competition and stress on our children on “getting picked for the right team” this is even more important. This is not the first young man we have lost and this is a critical issue. We hope is that there will be no more losses like this. Our children are young and we influence how they see themselves. They play a game but they are not just hockey players. Make sure they know that every day.
