The 2013-14 season marks the 15th anniversary of Hockey Fights Cancer. The NHL and the NHLPA join in this charitable initiative dedicated to raising awareness for national and local organizations involved in cancer care and research.
In recognition of Hockey Fights Cancer, Coquitlam Chiefs Atom A3 team dedicated their Oct 26th 2013 game vs Semiahmoo A4 to Cancer Awareness and in honour of loved ones lost to or fighting cancer.
The team received lavender boutonnieres made by #10 Jaxon Leduc’s Grandpa and lavender ribbons on their game jerseys and sticks. The team also made a poster of support dedicated to loved ones.
