PeeWee C4 Sweeps Portland Frozen Rose Tournament

Posted by Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association on Mar 25 2013 at 02:07PM PDT in 2011/2012 Season

Playing 5 games in 32 hours, PeeWee C4 captures GOLD in the Portland Frozen Rose Tournament. Factoring in the time change, with only 10 players and a goalie, the team battled hard during round robin to secure 1st place seeding out of 12 teams from the US and Canada. The team advanced to the championship making it an all-Canadian final against Langley. Setting the pace for each game was their Captain Cameron. Scoring was led by forwards Harjun and Dean along with defenseman, Tomas. Highlight of the goals was a one-timer by rookie player, Mervin. Hard battles were won in forechecking by Jack and Julian and backchecking by Tim. Strong defensive play by Tristan and Matthew D in the defensive zone. The team’s success would not have happened without the amazing net-minding of goalie Jacob. He not only
earned a shut-out but also bragging rights as the goalie with the best GAA in the tournament! Way to go PW C4 Chiefs!
