It seems that there is more to this as BC Hockey has added some additional steps. I am looking into this and will update this post with more specific instructions shortly. In the meantime – please be patient with your requests – I will get back to you asap.
Tournament Permission Letters are required for the following:
1) Tournaments outside PCAHA jurisdiction
2) Tournaments in the USA (even if within PCAHA jurisdiction)
3) Local Tournaments IF if the other Association requires it.
4) Tournaments and Exhibition games outside the Province of BC also require BC Hockey approval which requires a signed Interdistrict Approval from the Association President.
If you need a Tournament Permission Letter – please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org in the following format
Subject: Tournament Permission – date and location of tournament/Team
ie* Subject: Tournament Permission – Nov 9 – 11th 2012, Seattle / B C8*
Please include the name of your League Manager in your request as well as the name of the tournament.
If you follow the format, you are likely to get your letter much faster than if not. Please expect a longer delay for tournament further in the future as I will be dealing with the closest dates first
