Volunteer Engagement Strategies for Sport Associations

Does it feel like you are constantly recruiting and training or begging for help? Are the same volunteers recognized for their efforts while many silent volunteers are forgotten? Join us and learn more about how to take a strategic approach to recruitment and retention, while making sure that everyone feels valued and included.

Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Workshop

Join us for an interactive workshop on Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD), presented by Drew Mitchell, Director of Physical Literacy at Sport For Life. Athletes of all ages need to do the right things at the right time to develop in their sport or activity, and your sport association is the main entry point where all our amateur athletes start their journey in sport. Learn about all the different stages of sport: First Involvement, Train, Compete, and Active for Life, what LTAD is, and why it should be important to you and your sport Association.

Coaching and Working with Athletes with Disabilities

Join Megan Mereniuk from the Canucks Autsism Network, and Lois Mcnary from Special Olympics BC as they discuss inclusiveness in sports, and how to adapt for success. They will share their stories and experiences from gymnastics, skating, biking, skiing, and many other sports.
