Please Join us for a Vigil in honor of the Humboldt Hockey Team – hosted by Coquitlam Minor Hockey & Coquitlam Lacrosse

This Thursday evening April 12th at 8:00 – 9:00 pm at Poirier Leisure Sports Complex – Main Rink – doors open at 7:00 pm

We encourage you to come in your team jersey’s, parking may be limited so carpooling is advised. Try and meet up with your team and enter together if at all possible.

Memorial pins & stickers – by donation at the door. Fundraising T-shirts and Kettle Corn will be available for sale. Organ Donor card registration will be onsite. A signed jersey from NHL New York Islander’s Rookie of Year, hometown boy, Matthew Barzal will be raffled off to one lucky winner.

All proceeds will be donated directly to the Humboldt Broncos. A trust committee has been struck of Humboldt Bronco Alumni who will decide and release funds accordingly to meet the fundraising agenda.

The funds that are received will be used to rebuild the Humboldt Hockey Team – consideration will be given to upgrading the dressing rooms, purchasing equipment, staffing – and for a permanent memorial for the lives lost, other costs and needs.

We will need a few players to assist in reading tributes as part of the service. Please email Jacqueline Ewonus jacqewonus12@gmail.com

On behalf of Coquitlam Minor Hockey and Coquitlam Lacrosse Associations, we hope you will join us to pay our respects and support the Humboldt Broncos.

Thank you.

by Debra Harper, 2018-09-25T15:42:09.000-07:00September 25 2018, at 03:42 PM PDT

Dear CMHA Members,

I write to advise that the PCAHA member associations have voted overwhelmingly in favour of participating in the BC Hockey Zone Program Pilot project for the 2019-2020 season in the Bantam age division (vote results of 23 to 5). The BC Hockey Zone Pilot Program will include five Major Bantam AAA teams in the Lower Mainland for the Bantam division (age 13-14):

· Vancouver Centre

· Vancouver North East

· Vancouver North West

· Vancouver South East

· Vancouver South West

Below the text of this email is a link to a Memorandum from BC Hockey providing further details of the program followed by a link to the press release issued today.

This is an exciting alternative for our Coquitlam players and we will continue to keep you informed as matters progress.
