Reminder - Dressing Room Supervision and Two Deep Rule

Posted by Debra Harper on Oct 23 2017 at 03:16PM PDT in 2017-2018 Season

Reminder that there must 2 adult dressing room supervisors assigned to every ice time.

The 2 adult supervisors must be the first and last ones in the dressing room and at the door while the players are the dressing room (within audible range so either with door open with a foot in it, or behind the privacy wall). Please ensure your players are aware that they are not to enter a dressing room if the scheduled supervisors are not present. *Minors should never be left alone in facilities without their parent or 2 adult supervisors present. *

The Team Manager must have a schedule with 2 adult dressing room supervisors for every ice time. This is not an optional role and is mandatory for every division. They should have a valid CRC and Respect in Sport certification.

This communication is being sent to all members so there is no misunderstanding as to the importance of following this rule. There have been some recent incidents that reflect poorly upon the CMHA which would have been avoided had this rule been followed. There will be disciplinary consequences moving forward where it is reported that this rule is not being respected.
