To my dear CMHA members,
It is with the utmost regret that I advise that I have resigned from the role of President of CMHA. At this time, I have a number of personal demands requiring my time and attention as such that I am unable to fully devote myself to the very important task of running this Association.
The 1st Vice President, Slavica Roche has been serving in my absence and will be continuing as your President moving forward and I know you will support her in this role. This move leaves vacant the role of 1st Vice President. This is an important position as it serves in any times the President cannot. As well it oversees 3 divisions, Bantam, Midget & Juvenile, the A teams directly and the C teams by supporting the C Division Coordinator. These divisions require a fair bit of support from their VP as there are typically a fairly high number of disciplinary issues as well as Scholarship tournaments to manage. This season we have requested the Midget A Final Four to be played in Coquitlam and should that be granted, there will be quite a bit of work involved in that. With all that in mind, I am asking for a volunteer parent from one of those divisions, preferably one who has board, committee or other relevant experience, to put your name forward to our Secretary to serve (at minimum) for the remainder of the 201/2017 season. *Please email email@example.com with your expression of interest and relevant experience no later than November 26th in order that this may be finalized before the end of the month.
It has truly been my pleasure to serve in many roles assisting this Association over the past 12 years and I will continue to serve as counsel to the current Executive Board. Thank you all for your support in my role and I look forward to continue seeing you all around the rink.
Yours very sincerely,
