Coats For Kids – Warming Hearts Since 1995

The Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association (GVHBA) is launching its 21st annual Coats for Kids campaign in support of the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau and Surrey Christmas Bureau, two groups whose many initiatives help to provide a brighter Christmas for families in need.

The Coats for Kids donation campaign will run from Monday, November 14 to Thursday, December 1. Last year the response to Coats for Kids was heartwarming as Lower Mainland residents donated more than 3,600 items for distribution to families in need.

Scarves, gloves, blankets and new unwrapped toys and gifts are welcome with your coat donations for children of all ages. Speaking with the Christmas Bureaus, the greatest need however is coats and jackets for tweens and teens – ages 12 to 18 years old. Often reluctant to wear coats, hoodies are very popular with this group.

2016 Coats for Kids locations will be listed here on Friday, November 4th.

Thank you to our media partners: Black Press, Glacier Media, and Pacific Newspaper Group for sharing this time-honoured, Metro Vancouver-wide, heart-warming tradition.
