Registration Date extended for the 2012-2013 Season /Late Fees Waived
Information Session on Bodychecking – July 22. 2012 – 10am to 1pm – MPR #2 – Poirier Sports Centre
Due to the confusion regarding the new PCAHA rules eliminating body checking from the Peewee through Midget “C” divisions, the CMHA Executive has been made aware that some members delayed their registration until some clarity could be provided on the impact of the new rules. Following discussions at the BC Hockey AGM in late June, our RIC has placed information clarifying body checking versus body contact on our website for review. http://www.coquitlamminorhockey.org/organizations/801/pages/52315
There will be an information session held Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 10am to 1pm for any CMHA members to attend to be able to get answers to questions and more information on the new rule and bodychecking vs body contact. In order to get an idea of numbers, please email Deb Harper at firstname.lastname@example.org if you will be attending.
Under our current policies, returning players had to register by June 30th and any players that had not paid by this date were subject to late fees. Due to the confusion caused by this rule change, the CMHA Executive has voted to waive the late fees for all players that register and pay before July 31st, 2012 as well offer the option to change their registration from “C” to Rep tryouts. Please note that this does not provide the option of withdrawing from Rep Tryouts and receiving a refund.
Availability in any age group will still be on a first come basis, and players may be placed on a wait list if the division is full. Although these rule changes primarily affect Peewee through Midget age players, to be fair, the late fees will be waived for all age divisions.
If you have already paid a late fee, please contact our Registrar/Administrator – Debbie Harper at email@example.com to obtain a refund. Please note that there will still be no refunds processed prior to October 15, 2012 due to registration processing and volumes.
