Congratulations to our Pee Wee A1 Chiefs who are off to the Tier 1 Provincials !!!

Posted by Celso CMHA Webmaster on Mar 05 2012 at 07:17PM PST in 2011/2012 Season

Going into the Lower Mainland Final 4, the Chiefs knew that the road to the BC Hockey Provincials would have to go through one of the winter clubs. Normally a daunting task; but this year’s edition of the Chiefs has been steadily gaining momentum in the 2nd half and were up for the challenge. As fate would have it, our Chiefs drew BWC A1 in our first game with a shot at the Provincials on the line. The boys were amped up to start the game and it was evident early on that they were not going to be intimidated by BWC. Coquitlam put forth a solid workman-like effort getting stronger as the game went on and coasted to a 4-1 victory. Coaches Mike Grant and Jesse Kalar were very proud as they got contributions from all 17 players in the win.

The PW A1 Chiefs, previously ranked sixth in the Province deserve to move up a couple of spots after eliminating the third ranked BWC Bruins and now have full claim to “Black & Yellow”.
