CMHA IS EXCITED TO BRING YOUR FULL SLATE OF REPRESENTATIVE COACHES TO YOU FOR THE 2015-2016 SEASON. WE HAVE AN EXCELLENT TEAM IN PLACE AND WE WELCOME THEM ALL.
ATOM A1 – CHRIS SHAW
Chris is an extremely strong candidate with an abundance of hockey knowledge. His dedication to development was one of the main contributing factors for the committee to suggest him for Atom. Chris could coach any team, however we feel that Atom would be a perfect fit as he could mentor the younger players that are our future of tomorrow.
2012-2015 Chris was the GM/HC of the Ontario Avalanche in the WSHL. He has been an assistant in the BCJHL and was the GM/HC of the KIJHL Nelson Leafs organization.
2004-2012 Chris was the Coach Coordinator of the Global Scouting Showcase.

ATOM A2 – RANDY HORTON
Randy played all his minor and junior hockey in the Toronto area. When finished playing, he was encouraged to get into coaching where he has dedicated his adult life into doing what he loves . He has coached for over 30 years in all levels ranging from Atom to Major Midget in Toronto, surrounding areas and now BC. Randy believes in life-long leaning in hockey attending clinics, but most importantly what he is learning on the ice from the young players he has mentored.
Randy is also a Referee and in addition to coaching hockey he spends his off season coaching baseball. Working with children on the ice and in the field has led him to his chosen career as a Youth Worker.
PEEWEE A1 – KEITH PETERSON
The Coquitlam Minor hockey association is honoured to have Keith Peterson returning as our Pee Wee A1 coach. Keith brings Jordan Gould to form a dynamic coaching tandem for our Pee Wee players.
Keith is a technical development coach and is an essential asset for this age group. The importance of agility training with the introduction of systems in this division make Keith the ideal coach for our top Pee Wee team. Both Keith and Jordan are teachers at Cenntennial High School where they are involved in the Centennial Hockey Academy.
We are proud to announce Keith Peterson as our Pee Wee A1 coach. He and Jordan will represent the community well and we welcome them back to be among our coach leaders in the 2015-2016 season.
PEEWEE A2 – BRIAN KELLY
The RCSC is very excited to have Brian join our list of Pee Wee Rep Coaches. Brian is a CMHA alumni player with dynamic teaching ability. It is essential in this age group to capture skills from Atom and progress into Pee Wee. We feel that Brian’s on ice ability and charismatic personality, make this young coach the optimum selection for this age group.
Brian will be an exceptional role model and we are honoured to announce him as our Pee Wee A3 selection.
PEEWEE A3 – PATRICK MACNEILL
It is our pleasure to announce Patrick as the Head Coach of the Pee Wee A3 team. The RCSC was very impressed with Patrick’s dedication to the game. Macneil has coached Rep Hockey in New Westminster and is very excited to be joining the Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association.
He believes a great Hockey player is one that can treat practice like a game situation, improving their skills every
time they are on the ice. This mental preparation will assist our young Rep players and we are excited that Patrick will be joining our strong cast of Rep Coaches.

The CMHA RCSC was very impressed with Mr. Gushue and his dedication to the game of hockey. He has received many accolades in minor hockey and has coached at several levels of Rep in the Tricities area. His technical expertise will be a significant asset to our A1 team in Midget. We were captivated with his ability to discuss game situations and explanation on his transitional style of play. This was a strong identified feature as Jeff understands how the game has evolved.
We are proud to say Jeff is another CMHA alumni who is returning to his home Association. His character and experience will be a valuable strength with players at this level. The RCSC believes he will be a positive mentor to our older kids and will assist in the lasting success of the Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association.

We are very pleased to be welcoming Jacob Mangone back to the CMHA for the 2015-2016 season. This will be Jacob’s 5th consecutive season with CMHA, he is presently the longest active, non-parent coach with the association. Jacob has a lengthy hockey career as a player and he takes that knowledge applying it to his role as head coach. He expects the best on & off the ice of all who play for him and he easily relates to our young players, helping them achieve their hockey goals. He has a successful coaching and playing background which has seen him play in multiple provincial championships
